YOU!!!!

So its been quiet a while since i wrote a note on here, doesn't mean I've been less inspired just means i have been in my incubation period where a lot of growth has taken place, a lot of reflecting and some decision making. As one grows older, the message and pictures become clearer and clearer with time.
I’m going to share a little bit about whats been going on while i was incubating and of course, my passion for writing will reveal it all. Its a free world and we are allowed to share our ideas and experiences, allowed to voice out whats in the depth of our heart, that’s the beauty of communication. I communicate to my audience of friends via social media, most of them i know, some i haven’t seen in ages and others well.......... they disappeared or maybe i disappeared on them, one of us disappeared, lol!
Life is an amazing journey, filled with many experiences and opportunities to grow and become one’s best self, reaching the grand potentials that are hidden inside but only exposed under certain circumstances. As most know I am Christian, which means I am a follower of Jesus Christ. And being so has shaped me and my beliefs and how i view the world. Today’s note is about YOU! yes................YOU!
YOU are a masterpiece, YOU are loved, YOU inspire others and YOU are amazing! YOU might not realize it or perhaps have not been told lately just how special YOU are. Well let me take the opportunity to say it while it was said to me too.
Never forget your worth as a human being, never forget you are a treasure, you are unique and your existence indispensable. This is not a fairy tale or some kind of motivational talk, it’s TRUTH told and shown when JESUS chose to die for YOU on that Old Rugged Cross. When no one was willing to pay for the mess your sins made, He was, when no one was there for you when you were in need, naked, hungry and weak, He was! Therefore the price of YOUR life was shown to be a high one because of the value JESUS placed on it and demonstrated it on the cross. But the story doesn’t end there. He’s preparing a PLACE for YOU so you could no longer go through the pain, hurt and suffering that this world brings. What a grand promise!
YOU were and YOU are WORTH IT!!! Wont YOU accept God’s Eternal Love today???

Growing up

Boy do I have a load of things to say on this topic. Well I have come to see that growth or growing up is so diverse. We grow in various aspects of our lives; physically, morally, spiritually, emotionally, mentally........ you  name it.

To me growth is an active process of change, a better change, its progressive, ongoing. And in all cases, we don't feel it. I can almost say that growing has a lot to do with FAITH, for example, biologically speaking when the cells divide and differentiate or when there is cell specialization, the organism does not feel this ongoing process but finds itself in a superior position than before.

In science we learn that one of the characteristics of living things is their ability to grow. All living things grow, plants grow, people grow, animals grows etc.  But there's another side of growth that I have come to see, and that is "the higher you go, the more is expected." very different from the geographical theory of cooling that states " the higher yo go, the cooler it becomes." The more you grow, the more is expected. Things change and you begin to see things in a different way.

Its true to say that the person you were 2 years ago is not the same person you are today. Because everyday we undergo change, everyday we learn though we hardly realize it, we are surrounded by so many stimuli that stimulate us but we don't realize it. example, the day to day decisions we make, the little and simple things we do each contribute to our shaping and formation of character.

The greatest thing or priority in life is not so much the material things we may obtain by our human means. how many cars we would have driven, how many friends we would have made or how many houses we would have built. But the greatest treasure that we have whether we recognize it or not is our IDENTITY. our CHARACTER!!! Questions like who am I? what is my purpose in life? where am I going? what do I contribute to life??????? all these questions all have a root, a deep search within the human heart to find himself in this lost world.

Through out the ages, man has tried and is still trying to "find himself" but the search doesn't have to be that tedious. Because with Jesus by our side, we learn more and more about ourselves. In Jesus we have life, meaning, purpose and hope, In Him we have everything we need. The truth is growing up is not easy, they are challenges everywhere, battles from all corners. Horrible this may be, we have an assurance that our Savior and friend Jesus will always be there to hold us, mold us and love us till the end.

Growing up is believing even when you can't see anything happening AT ALL. Especially when it comes to the Christian growth. There is no meter or apparatus to measure our Christian growth but what we do have is the assurance and the wonderful promises of God. He bids us ABIDE! STAY! STAY IN HIM!!!! STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE. And You will be fine!

You WILL NOT FEEL IT!!!! but by Jesus just BELIEVE IT because HE SAYS SO!

Mercy

Mercy, the one word that's often said. But after I sat down to truly reflect what it really means, I was astonished by what it is.

Mercy originates from God, He is the author of mercy and HE is merciful to us in so many ways. Mercy also has a lot to do with tolerance, understanding and the patience of God. Thats why I say that God is the true and complete definition of what mercy is. He is ever willing and patient with each one of us, when we are unbearable and beyond repair, He takes His precious time to work on me and shape me into who He wants me to be.

Our Father has a plan for each one of us, great and mighty plans beyond our imagination, beyond our comprehension and He is merciful in executing justice and bring before us what we need. Most times what we think we need isn't always what we really need, only God our Father knows what is best for us and when its best for us.
God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us form all unrighteousness. Once God has mercy, He forever has mercy.

God's mercy has so many dimensions to it, thats why it needs to be studied well.  One of the principle things that I have seen about His mercy is the patience that God has on each one of us. His word says that He( God) is not slack concerning His promise. He is a long suffering God and its so remarkable that one of the components of the fruit of the Spirit is patience, its actually the first to be mentioned in  Galatians 5:23,24.

God is love! God's mercy endures forever. He does not repay us according to our iniquities but He cast out our sins and they are remembered no more. Our God is just and faithful, merciful and true. There is none like Him and none that will be like Him, because He is the only God, the true Creator and owner of the universe.

God is a God of mercy, He wants us to come and reason with Him Isaiah 1:18. He wants to wash us and cleans us, He wants us to have clean hearts that will truly and wholly reflect Him. Thats why He takes His sweet and precious, holy time to work on us.
I am still learning more about the mercy of God.

You don't have to go through this alone

Well, as the title states, clear and simple. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS.........ALONE!!!!

The human being is very complex, this has been my summary fro this lesson that I have learnt, the truth is the human being is always seeking, seeking for something...........something that will fit into the picture or the puzzle of life and then, tadaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! It will all be perfect!

Well if things were that way, there wouldn't be a need for God or a Savior because we would already have been saved by ourselves and not by any man that was nailed to the tree for the sins of the world. From my personal observation, man has tried for many years to "complete the puzzle" to be "satisfied" and in all human attempts has grievously failed.

When it comes to trials, its natural for us to want to escape the horizon and want to land up on a beach somewhere with a peaceful sunset and the sound of birds humming softly in our ears. But that is not what our Father in Heaven has in mind, He has a perfect plan for each and every one of us. Its not his intention to withdraw everything thats good for us, in fact He desires to give us everything good and great. Psalm 84:11.
Fortunately, trials are the Lords chosen way of christian growth and character formation. The Lord always thinks BIG, never small, short term and temporary as we do, he desires not only to save us but to transform us into the image of His Son Jesus Christ.

This process however is not an easy one, it will take so much effort on our part to understand the ways of our Father, but always we are to bear in mind that His ways are high above ours, our ways are finite, His ways are mighty and eternal.
The wise man ever lived said "Trust in the LORD with ALL your HEART and lean not on your own understanding. IN ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE HIM and He shall DIRECT your path." Prov 3:4,5, That is the key and the answer, TRUSTING HIM in everything, not just in certain things,in EVERYTHING!!!!

I have discovered that TRUST comes with knowing someone or how something works, for example I trust my good friends because I got to know them, I trust my brother because I know him and we have grown up together, I trust my bank because they provide good services and have proven to be of good service to me as a customer. I trust, I trust, I trust.......! On the other hand I can't trust a stranger, IMPOSSIBLE, that would be foolish i may say, simply because he's strange to me, I don't know him!

Thats the same thing that happens between us and God, we can only come to fully trust Him when we get to know Him. Question is, how do we get to know Him? By reading and studying His word, God's word is His most accurate way of communicating to us, through His wonderful love letter. TRUSTalso has a lot to do with LOVE, we can not fully LOVE God if we don't trust Him, its that simple. If you love some one you trust them too.

So if like me, you are found wanting in this area of trust and are seeking your own ways and methods of how you think things should go, lets STOP for a minuet and ask our selves these questions? Has it not been the LORD that has sustained us all these years? Is it not Him that has guided us through our toughest storms?

Its very easy for the human mind to forget how our creator has faithfully lead us out of the most complicated and hopeless situations in our lives, and all this is simply a result of the toxic effect of SIN. Paul says in one of his epistles " Oh wretched man that I am, who will deliver me from this body of death? But I thank God, through JESUS CHRIST our LORD....." Romans 7:24,25. Meaning that ONLY JESUS can help us and save us from this hopeless situation.

Today, our Father is telling us, You don't have to go through this.......alone! A call to trust Him, not in some things but in everything! He knows exactly whats He is doing so lets TRUST Him and He lead us through. He has the power to remove our storm, but in the case that He decides not to remove it that we may go through it, then we can safely hold His hand, hold on tight and walk with Him with confidence knowing fully well that WE ARE NOT ALONE!

Oh and one other thing, NEVER let the enemy get it the way of your precious relationship with your Savior He is an intruder, a liar and a thief seeking to destroy that perfect union that exists between a Father and his son.
REMEMBER that you don't have to go through this.........alone!!

Our Father leads

As I reminisce on the numerous blessings given to me, I can't help but recall the words to the song "more than ever" by the Gaither Vocal Band. These precious words are a personal testimony and a remembrance of how and when I started my christian journey.

"
When I started my journey in fresh childlike trust
I believed that the Lord's way was best
I would read in His word how He mothered the bird
And grieve when it fell from it's nest
How I felt His delight when i chose to do right
And I prayed I would not make Him sad
We would meet on the way in the cool of the day
What a pure sweet communion we had
Oh but now more than ever
I cherish the cross
More than ever I sit at His feet
All the miles of my journey have proved my Lord true
And He is so precious to me."

The everlasting and wonderful God, the creator of all the universe who willingly gave His only begotten Son as a ransom for my sin still lives today and daily shows me my destiny, through salvation, I have access to Heaven, I have victory over sin, though my sinful nature is ever before me, Christ is working in me to will and to do of His good pleasure, thus the struggle and the conflict between my flesh and God's eternal will. He imputes in me His righteousness. By His grace I am His and He is mine.

Its good to take time and look back on how we started our journey, drawing back to the wonderful moment when we got immersed in the waters by baptism, professing to the world whose were and where we chose to belong, where we currently are in our christian walk and where Jesus wants us to be by His grace and love. Then and only then can we see the changes that Christ has made in our lives. We never feel the growth, just like we never feel the process of cell division, duplication and replication of our DNA, synthesis of our RNA and various proteins that make up a large component of our being. But as we can't feel the growth, we can see the change and others see it more.

I have come to see that only Christ gives identity, purpose, meaning, life, joy, happiness, peace.......... and the list goes on. A true and pure communion with Him is what He desires. As a mother gently leads her child through the walking process, so does our Heavenly Father, He never leaves our side and He will never forsake us. He is LOVE and He is our Father, our King, our provider and our God! We are not His robots but we have been called His children. There is a big difference between having your own child and taking care of stranger and I believe that this more profound with they that have their own offspring. In the eyes of God we are precious, wonderful, priceless and worth dying for. Now thats amazing!
THAT'S LOVE! SNH

You have no idea.

You have no idea how much it takes to get there,
You have no idea how I work and fulfill my desires,
You have no idea of my wisdom and my ways for the are way too complex for you,
As a result I have revealed my will and character to you through my precious Word,
The word that lies on your book shelf,
I do recognize the efforts that you make in studying it,
But the truth is, you are not doing it as much as I would love you to do it.

You have no idea what tomorrow will bring but I do,
You don't have any powers against the tests that I set before your path, but I do,
You have no idea how much I want you to succeed and prosper, but I do
Everything that I want you to know is in my Word,
Everything is there for you to read,
I will help you, I will guide you,
I will teach you and instruct you in the way that you should go,
I will guide you with my eye.

I love you and you are the apple of my eye,
You were bought with a high price,
You are my own and I will do everything in my power to make sure you know that,
But be careful my child, because around you lies an enemy,
An enemy that seeks to destroy the plan that I have for you,
I've already warned you so many times in my word,
but fear not because I am with you.

This is not to say that the road will be easy,
You will have to make some efforts as well,
Some sacrifices and decisions that not many of your companions will be in favor of,
But don't mind them, its me you should focus on,
I will give you strength because I am your strength,
You will learn and I will patiently teach you my ways,
I will walk you through the lessons as a mother helps her little child to learn how walk,
All these lessons I have given you,
Ask for wisdom and discernment and I will give it to you,
I will show you the way.

Call upon me always, for i delight to hear from you,
Call my name and will be attentive,
I told you, you were bought with a price,
You are worth dying for,
I love you so much my child, if only you knew
But I know that with time, you will understand it better by and by.

And don't be surprised if some times things don't turn out the way you would expect them to,
I love you and I know what I am doing,
Just trust my wisdom and guidance because it will keep you from unnecessary harm,
Trust me, I am here for you
And I know whats best!

Your Father in Heaven.

Something I learnt.

In a midst of a busy schedule, running up and down, trying to get everything going well, perfect and exact, I see a danger, a red light strongly flashing in my face, its accompanied by a very loud and disturbing noise, a noise that I cant seem to shut. This alarm gets my full attention and I stop what I am doing, I stop, reflect and think deeply wondering what could be the meaning of this racket, but then i remember and it hits me, Its a WARNING FROM GOD!!
"A warning?" I say to myself, "But what did I do wrong?". I couldn't find the answers to that question on my own, I didn't have the strength, I didn't know where to begin, I wondered where on earth I would find the solution to this warning that I had received from God. It was then that I remembered that all the solutions and answers to my questions where found in God's word, His love letter to me. With emphasis on how much i desperately needed His word, I listened to sermon, I didn't choose the sermon based on the title or the speaker, but I was lead to hear it, and guess what the message was????? Yes, exactly, GOD'S WORD!!!! another confirmation from God to tell me how much I am in need of it.
Honestly speaking, I had been so worked up and "busy" trying things my way, thinking it was the best way, until i received the warning from my Father in Heaven, to stop doing things my way and do things HIS WAY! because HIS WAYS are best! Psalm 19:7,8 and Prov 30:5. Its very easy to try and help God, thinking that we are in the correct path, but clearly God doesn't need our help, He just needs our obedience and willingness to serve Him. A co- working partnership, a union between Divinity and Humanity.
Oh what a privilege, what an honor it is to co-work with the Great Physician, such ways none can fathom.
Just like me, maybe you have received a warning from God, his warning can be an impression from the Holy Spirit, from His word, etc. But when you do receive it, please, please surrender and ask Jesus to help you start over, fresh and clean!

Who truly can satisfy?

The other day I was sitting in the prayer garden of the university campus, as the beautiful sun's rays gently hit my skin, i looked to the sky and it was amazing, the clouds were as clear as fresh pure water and the birds were singing their wonderful melodies, if I could only understand what they were singing about :).

As I sat there with the my eyes raised up to the sky, i begun to meditate, the weather was perfect for my meditation, the cool and gentle breeze lead my to automatically do it.As the sun struck my eyes, I begun to feel the effect of the rays and the partial discomfort that they brought me, so i quickly put on my second pair of eyes for protection, if you wear glasses then you know what I mean.
Once comfortable, a thought came to my mind "who truly can satisfy?", I asked as i begun my session with God.

According to my own definition, to be satisfied is to be content, to not lack in anything, to be comfortable, to be okay.......etc.As i continued to break down this word "SATISFY" I remembered 2 verses from God's word that say "And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in the drought and strengthen your bones; and you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring whose waters fail not" Isaiah 58:11 and Psalm 37:18,19 which says "The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied". From there my answer was found, only my LORD has the ability to satisfy my soul, only HE has the ability to strengthen my bones and truly give me meaning and purpose to life.
There are so many unclaimed promises in God's word, not because they are dead, but because we DON'T search for them and CLAIM them. So for that session of meditation i left feeling SATISFIED, knowing full well with all my heart that only JESUS can TRULY satisfy.
And praise God through my personal experiences have I come to appreciate this inevitable FACT.

Just like you promised.

Each and every day that passes by is an opportunity to learn, an opportunity to grow and become a better friend, sister, daughter, student, aunt, niece, granddaughter, neighbor, and the many other roles we have been given here in on this earth, but above all these roles and responsibilities, I have come to see that everyday is an opportunity given to grow more in our Christian walk, to develop our character.

As the days go by and as everyday turns to a week, week to a month, month to a year and year to more years, I see my broken nature standing right in front of me, its with me and in me. And sadly it is so because am part of Adams fallen race and in me dwells no good thing. However there are 2 sides to it, and the very thing that determines where I stand lies within me. its called MY WILL POWER!

God granted me this powerful gift out of the LOVE He has for me. The choices I make determine all. Whether I choose to live and sob in my broken nature or rush quickly to the foot of the cross where lies a compassionate Savior, willing to give me hope, wisdom and meaning in this little life of mine likened unto a flower that withers and quickly fades away. Its a choice, a very big desicion that I need to make every single day that I am given life by the Almighty.

I choose to live with Christ, in Christ, for Christ, by Christ and always for Christ, even if my very nature rebels and protests against it. With such an important decision, I need all the strength I can get to live by and stick to these principles. This is why I CAN NOT dare be apart from Christ, the author and perfecter of my faith. My sustainer and provider!

Truth is we are a broken people, a broken and hopeless world that is in desperate need of saving, we are selfish sinful beings that are in need of cleansing, in need of purification. May the LORD have mercy upon us as we daily learn to surrender to Him our entire lives.

Broken but with hope.

God takes cre of us.

There is a common phrase that goes "Don't let life pass you by........" and its true, but i would love to come up with my own phrase, " Don't let the Lord's blessings pass you by". Many times when we see things especially from our own point of view, we tend to focus on the negative, dark and gloomy side of things, and whilst we do that, we indirectly in an unconscious way, let God's blessings pass us by by not being grateful for the many faithful times He has come through for us.

Our Father is a wise and loving God, one that never errs, His degree of accuracy can never ever be belittled  to the standards of this world. More so, He is faithful He who has promised and will never ever present before us, anything that will be of harm, instead its from the hard and rough times that we receive blessings and above all that special molding that each child of God indispensably needs to meet the qualifications for the citizenship of Heaven.

God takes care of us, in so many ways, ways that we can never imagine, we don't need to receive all the things that we want to be assured of His love and protection, neither do we need to receive exactly what we asked for to the very last detail, we must understand that even in His "NOT EXPECTED" way of answering us He takes care of us and loves us, because He knows what is best and exactly what trial to present at a particular time,in a particular way, to a particular person.

So lets begin with that sincere smile to Heaven and thank God for all things, whether good or bad, and let Him lead us in His way.

She took a jorney.

She took a journey, she didn't really know what it was all about, she was  willing to learn, willing to live and willing to die............so she thought until the worst came upon her. She cried, could not understand, she wondered and thought what went wrong, why she supposedly did the opposite of her beliefs, until it was shown to her her real nature, her vulnerable and hopeless state. Her broken form could not mend things.

As the famous saying goes "Words are cheap, but actions speak louder than words", it was more than enough to express her real carnal nature as she realized that her promises were as ropes of sand, she had no power what so ever to fulfill any of the sweet promises that came from her mouth. Thinking all was well, she forgot on whom she totally depends.

Allowing the enemy access to the situation, doubt and fear crept in, fear of the unknown, fear that she was all alone and that NO ONE understood her. God never forsakes His own, even when they sometimes forget that. Sin has poisoned our thinking, it has destroyed us and separated us from our loving and good Creator, we have memory problems especially when it comes to God's promises, one minuet we read and rejoice in Gods word, the next we are found doubting His very pure and precious words.

We must realize always that we are broken, but through Christ we have hope, hope of being once again restored to the wonderful image that was robbed from us. Knowing this and only this will keep us on track, will keep us in line with the God's ways, as the Comforter promised to us by the Savior Divine desperately comes to our rescue, ever working to mold, shape and from the broken human into the perfect image of God.

As she daily battled, she realized that the strength lies not in her, the urge and power don't come from her, but from her Loving Savior who promised to ever be with her as she begun her journey. She then realized that the more she grew, greater was demanded from her and the greater the demands, the more grace and power was given to her..........But the story doesn't there,........its continues with joys, sorrows, ups, downs, highs, lows, mountains, valleys, you name it,but all through her journey is present a Loving and Merciful Savior who walks with her all the days of her life on Earth.

She took a journey, she cried during her journey, she grew during her journey, but best of all, she's learning to embrace her journey with Jesus Christ!

Lo, I am with you.........till the END

I  remember telling God that I wanted to be a missionary, well it didn't take too long before i was given an opportunity to go for my "first mission", it was so cool and awesome for me, I really loved the experience as I got to do two of my favorite things, make new friends and share Christ with others. What an amazing experience it was. Rising as early as 4 a.m to have our morning devotion, walking long distances and for long hours without feeding, singing happily and joyfully with my team mates as we visited our targeted locations, cooking with my brothers and playing with the little children. This was the perfect experience.

When that beautiful week finally came to an end, my heart was grieved as I returned to city life, fast cars, traffic, noisy music and a horrid busy atmosphere where everyone just seemed to care about getting business done I missed those wonderful sunrises , I missed the cool and fresh air that entered my lungs and thoroughly oxygenated my cells, the water was okay at the time of consumption but later affected me when I got back home, The experience was amazing, one that I will never forget.

Looking back at that precious moment, i thought to myself " wow, I m a missionary" with my head raised high and my hand beating my chest proudly, I considered myself officially as a missionary, and the truth is I am a missionary. The only thing I forgot is that I have always been a  missionary, Jesus made me a missionary the day that I got immersed in those waters and publicly announced my profession and faith in Him, I just needed to be trained.

Along came the training that I thought was obviously going to be easy, but little did I know that its one of the toughest struggles that I have ever faced, I speak in the present tense because I'm still being trained, everyday is training day. And everyday is different, its beautiful in its own way and comes with its own blessings.

With the little years blessed me by the Lord, I have come to see that being a missionary is being like Jesus, its reflecting Him in everything I do, its representing Him in the best way that I can knowing that my flesh and carnal nature will battle against His will, its putting His will before mine and totally living in surrender and obedience to Him, its seeking to please Him even if the whole world wishes to stub me for choosing Him, because He was not of the world and the world knew Him not John 15:18.19, now more than ever do I understand the words of my Commander and Chief, He was right and there is no shadow of doubt in His words. His words are pure and true.

Being a missionary doesn't en tell leaving my country and going into the deep and dangerous zones of Africa or the Amazon jungle as most of God's children think, instead its about being like Jesus wherever I am, wherever He takes me, in what ever position He places me, Its about giving my all to Him regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the consequences, its not being a fanatic, its expressing and showing how much I love Him by doing all that pleases Him, even if i risk loosing what I want and think is best. Its about giving my heart to Him and letting Him take ownership of it without claiming it back.

We live in a broken and lost world that is need of knowing the truth, well what truth? The truth that sanctifies us, His HOLY WORD, the true character and image of God, a loving God that did all that He could just to save us, a loving Son that gave His own life to be sacrificed as an atonement for sin, The world must know the truth, and you and I have a responsibility in this great work, enough talk and lets actually DO the will of our Father, lets DO the work of Him that sent us.

Being a missionary is about humiliating myself to the world for Jesus and being persecuted for His name sake. Being a missionary is being for Jesus and like Jesus until the END, that they that are in darkness may know Him through His disciples of light. Knowing this ONE thing, that "LO, I am with you until the very END" Mat 28:20

My Father came through me

I remember this incidence just like it was yesterday, the story of how my Father in Heaven came through for me during my preparations for the Medical Entrance exam here in the University i study.

Before I came here, i always wanted to study Medicine and do it for the good and benefit of others. I remember vividly telling God that I would be His servant and always serve Him if He took me the UAP. In my promise, i forgot to tell Him that He had to allow me to enter Med school to have the whole desire complete and finally when the time came to be here,i took the Spanish lessons that were a requisite for my studying here because I am a foreing student and spanish is not my first language.

Arrived here in September and begun my Spanish lessons and at the same time, begun studying for the Medical Entrance Exam that was coming up in February, both had to be in Spanish and I remember that almost eveyday I would tell Jesus how much of  a challenge it was to do this but many times God would remind me of how much He loved me and that He was with me throughout that tedious journey. I trusted, I studied His word, clinged on to His promises and left the rest in His hands and I told Him that If it was His will I will definitly enter the Faculty of Medicine

Februaury finally came as I did all I possilbly could to sum up my studies and keep relaxed and focused on Jesus because I knew that He was with me at that point. During that time, many of my friends showed their support and love by praying for me, speaking words of encouragment and they also sent me verses, just what i needed at that crucial point. God sent people, i love to call them blessings because they are, He sent new people that i now call friends to be by my side during that time, He positvely spoke through the mouths of human beings as they told me me with a doubt that would enter the faculty and be a good doctor. He even sent one young lady to give me the books and materials for the first year of Medicine..........., now that was amazing, One other young lady and friend gave me her lab coat as a gift, but that was after i received the news.
I wondered and thought deeply just how God communicated to me duting that time, He used so many mediums to tell me and show me His will and i was really humbled, but sometimes i would seat down and think to myself "what of i dont make it?" So many questions run through my mind and heart as I saw just how much faith and support i received during that time, my family prayed for me as the days approached to the exam, my Spanish teachers prayed too. So many times, i told God that i didnt want to disappoint my parents and waste the money that they had invested in just to ensure that my dreams came true, i told Him that above all things i didnt want to disappoint Him and bring shame to His name because almost everyone in this place knew that i came all the way from Africa to achieve this and knew me to be a God fearing person, not that i glory in self but Christ's light is inevitable to see wherever you go even if the people speak a different language from yours. Those are some other lessons that i learnt, will share more on that. I knew that i had to do my best for God, do my best for His glory, i knew that His name was at stake if i didnt glorify Him appropriately especially in my academics. So we talked openly about the situation and He assured me through His word and i felt His blessings everyday through the mediums that He used to communicate to me His will.

The day for the exam arrived,it was on a Wednesday. I wasn't really nervous because that morning Jesus and I spoke and I surrendered everything in His hands, that His will may be done. The morning session was quiet a challenge especially with Physics, and well, knowing my personality, i just couldnt hold back my tears, i needed to cry and that made me feel better,a dear friend and sister of mine prayed with me and i felt much better, the interview was good, thanks to God, before i went in to be interviewed, i asked God to give me the right words to say because i was really being sincere and honest and my intention for entering the faculty are purely unselfish and are to the benefit of others. The second part of the exam was way better than the first and i wrote the exam knowing that i was going to receive an email form the faculty on their final decision.
The days went by as we all anxouisly waited for the results, they told us that they would be out on a Wednesday the following week. During the wait, rumors had been spreading that they would be out  a little bit earlier than Wednesday, and as soon as i heard that i begun to e anxious. Friday morning was the day that i had to sum up with the Spanish courses and prepare to seat for my final paper for the Spanish course, and by God's grace i aced the Spanish Final Exam. I had to sent an email to my coordinator Romina Rivarola, so i opened my mail an found 2 new messages, one from Romina and another form a new contact, I opened the one from the new contact first and found that it was from the Faculty. I MADE IT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I screamed and jumped for joy, i immediately sent an email to my Mother who had been patiently waiting for the response too.I praised my Father and remembered that Psalm from Psalm 43:5 that says "Hope in the Lord, for i will yet Praise Him..."
Me during my first weeks here in Argentina.
That marks my testimony of how God my Father in Heaven came through for me. And now i know that this is His will for my life, this is the path that He has set out for me and i will gladly follow it, knowing fully well in my heart that the road is not easy and  i will definitely learn so many things while in this profession and that's what i love about it. It will teach me to utterly and wholly depend upon my Father in Heaven, my friend and Savior Jesus Christ. 1 John 4:14,15!

Celebrating with the girls after receiving the good news.

True benevolence 2

Here is some quotations form the book that i read
" In the providence of God we are placed in different positions to call into exercise qualities of mind calculated to develop character under a variety of circumstances."

" Professed Christians may live unexceptionable lives so far as outward appearance is concerned; but when a change of circumstances throws them into entirely different positions, strong traits of character are discovered, which would have remained hidden had their surroundings continued the same."

"  I was shown that you have selfish traits which you have need to strictly guard against. You will be in danger of regarding your prosperity and your convenience irrespective of the prosperity of others. You do not possess a spirit of self-denial that resembles the great Exemplar. You should cultivate benevolence, which will bring you more into harmony with the spirit of Christ in His disinterested benevolence. You need more human sympathy. This is a quality of our natures which God has given us to render us charitable and kind to those with whom we are brought in contact. We find it in men and women whose hearts are not in unison with Christ, and it is a sad sight indeed when His professed followers lack this great essential of Christianity. They do not copy the Pattern, and it is impossible for them to reflect the image of Jesus in their lives and deportment."

" When human sympathy is blended with love and benevolence, and sanctified by the Spirit of Jesus, it is an element which can be productive of great good. Those who cultivate benevolence are not only doing a good work for others, and blessing those who receive the good action, but they are benefiting themselves by opening their hearts to the benign influence of true benevolence. Every ray of light shed upon others will be reflected upon our own hearts. Every kind and sympathizing word spoken to the sorrowful, every act to relieve the oppressed, and every gift to supply the necessities of our fellow beings, given or done with an eye to God's glory, will result in blessings to the giver. Those who are thus working are obeying a law of heaven and will receive the approval of God. The pleasure of doing good to others imparts a glow to the feelings which flashes through the nerves, quickens the circulation of the blood, and induces mental and physical health.  {4T 56.2}
     Jesus knew the influence of benevolence upon the heart and life of the benefactor, and He sought to impress upon the minds of His disciples the benefits to be derived from the exercise of this virtue. He says: It is more blessed to give than to receive." He illustrates the spirit of cheerful benevolence, which should be exercised toward friends, neighbors, and strangers, by the parable of the man who journeyed from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Notwithstanding the exalted profession of piety made by the priest and the Levite, their hearts were not stirred with pitying tenderness for the sufferer. A Samaritan who made no such lofty pretensions to righteousness passed that way, and when he saw the stranger's need he did not regard him with mere idle curiosity, but he saw a human being in distress, and his compassion was excited. He immediately went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him." And on the morrow he left him in charge of the host, with the assurance that he would pay all charges on his return. Christ asks: Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise."  {4T 56.3}
Here Jesus wished to teach His disciples the moral obligations which are binding upon man to his fellow man. Whoever neglects to carry out the principles illustrated by this lesson is not a commandment keeper, but, like the Levite, he breaks the law of God which he pretends to revere. There are some, who, like the Samaritan, make no pretensions to exalted piety, yet who have a high sense of their obligations to their fellow men and have far more charity and kindness than some who profess great love to God, but fail in good works toward His creatures."

True Benevolence

What does true benevolence mean?
I wondered as i read from one of the books of my favorite author. And as i read, I asked my self, what does Christ require of us as His children concerning our relations with our neighbors, our brothers and sisters in Christ.
As i scrolled down further to read, i was over whelmed by how much we tend to be self centered as human beings especially as God's children, His representatives. Looking very well at the conduct of the priest and the levite in the parable that Jesus told about the good samaritan. During my short stay here, i have learnt and am learing so many things about human relations and how to relate with our fellow brothers, strangers and others that we will cross paths with and i must admit that it has taught me and is teaching me some grande lessons.

Being like Jesus en tells that i have to fellow His example and teachings from His word and that includes not only preaching, healing and baptizing but accepting people the way the are. I thought i had this ability until i came here, so far away from home and interacted with different people from all walks and corners of the world. with different cultures and personalities.
While i embrace and respect everyone's culture, Jesus calls me to stand up and stand out for Him,to represent Him as his servant and friend, and oh what a privilege it is to be part of this experience. But one thing i have discovered is that i will do so day by day as I wholly and totally depend on Him. My friend and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Who do I turn to?

When am hurt and disappointed

I know You are up there Father!
I turn To You dear Father!

Will I let You lead?

It is day by day,in  sincerity and humility on our part that God reveals His will to us. As we learn to trust Him and surrender our lives wholly to Him,He directs our path according to His will Prov 3:5,6 and Psalm 32:8. Thus in trust and confidence do we follow the Path that He directs for us.
Prov 20:21 We all have our dreams and goals, but if truly we are children of God,our dreams and goals will be in harmony with His will, when we plan, we should ask "In what way do my plans glorify God's name? Will my dreams benefit others or will i receive all the glory in the end?"
When we begin to think in these lines and pray for guidance, God smiles on us!

The question is "Will i let Him lead?". Will i give my self wholly to the One that i so claim to love? Will i seek Him with an open and honest heart? Will i listen to what He has to say or maybe will i just ignore His counsel and do things my way? These questions scare me as i meditate and contemplate upon them. Will i be as faithful to Him as Abraham was when by faith he left his land not knowing where he was going, but wholly depended on He that was leading?

Father, teach me to obey!

It must that......i am blind

"Lord show me Your way, teach me Your ways, help me to grow, help me know you more..........." And the list goes on
Its God's greatest desire to answer these prayers, only when they are offered to Him in sincerity, with a broken and contrite spirit Psalm 51:17. So many times in His awesome word has God tried to communicate to us His will and without a shadow of doubt He itches to let us know and learn of Him.

The thing that we can never change is the fact that God is perfect and is never wrong, we are the evil ones, the ones with the fault, the ones in need of salvation here not GOD we are the ones to learn of Him and be conformed to His perfect image and character. Our God is more that willing to share His will to us, but we are never there to sit down, take some time off our so called "busy schedules" and listen an learn of Him.

Could it be that all this time God has been communicating to me His will but yet i don't even take notice of it? I definitely know the answer to that question, and yet i claim to be a representative of this Great and High God that dwells in the Heavens.

I need to see things the way God sees them especially if i claim to be His own and am so glad that He is more than willing to hep me all the way, He promised me in Rev 3:18 that He will anoint my eyes with salve that i may see.
My Hope is in Jesus Christ the Perfect and High God whom i serve. But as long as i keep trying to handle things my way, i will remain blind and without HOPE *viamispensamientos*
